@ Business Standard: The growth in the solar market has led to rising interest from major international firms. Dow Corning, a joint venture of Dow Chemical Company and Corning, has been specializing in silicon products and is looking at increasing its revenues from India by supplying silicon-related products for photovoltaic module makers and solar farms. The company has already invested approximately USD 5 bn over 2004-08 on its manufacturing facility at Pune.
