The Indian furniture industry has made rapid progress in recent years, and comprises quality and affordable furniture units. Office furniture is a sub-sector that has expanded at a fast pace, in line with the growth of the country’s workforce. While operative desking contributes to a major share of the Indian office furnishing industry, other segments such as seating, cabinet and office storage, executive furniture and filing systems have also witnessed a sustained rise in demand. Recently, designer style furniture is increasingly the area of concentration for the Indian office furnishing industry. A number of domestic as well as foreign brands have made significant progress in sale of office furnishing.
