CNG or compressed natural gas is a form of fossil fuel that is used largely as a substitute for petrol, diesel or LPG. CNG is preferred in these cases as it more environmentally clean. Nowadays, the increasing prices of petrol and diesel have prompted both private as well as commercial vehicle owners within the country to switch to CNG as a fuel medium. However, locally fitted CNG kits are often perceived to be unstable and prone to fire and explosion.
