The biotechnology industry is still at a nascent stage of development in India, but recent government initiatives have boosted its prospects in recent years. The domestic biotechnology sector can be broadly divided into five main categories namely, bio-pharmaceuticals, bio-agriculture, bio-services, bio-informatics and bio-industrial.
