In India, cardiovascular diseases are one of the biggest causes of the high rate of human mortality in both rural as well as urban areas. This has been the result of lifestyle-related changes that have affected the country’s population. Young professionals in our country are becoming increasingly prone to cardiovascular diseases, mainly due to their unhealthy lifestyles. Excessive drinking and smoking in stressful work environments aggravates the problem. High blood pressure, less physical activity and consumption of junk food are some of the other problems that lead to cardiac disorders.
