Corporate finance is an area that is mainly concerned with long and short term financial planning and strategic implementation to maximize shareholder value in an organization. The term corporate finance encompasses a wide area of finance ranging from capital investment decisions to investment banking. Decisions taken with regard to corporate finance are majorly influenced by the actual size of the concerned business enterprise. A widely used proxy for market portfolio in corporate finance in India is the BSE Sensex. Retained earnings, debt and equity are some of the most preferred sources of corporate finance, although hybrid finance is also used in a few cases.
