e-Governance is a relatively new concept in India, given that a large section of the country still does not have sufficient Internet connectivity. The government of India has a National e-Governance Plan that lays down the necessary framework for the long-term future growth of the system of e-Governance in our country. The plan is necessary to create the proper infrastructure and put in place the required policies and regulations for establishing Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) at central and state levels. The plan aims to bring certain aspects of the government mechanism under the purview of e-Governance.
