The recent emphasis on clean technology and renewable energy resources in India has turned the spotlight on the recycling industry. Recycling is a part of the waste management process and is subject to statutory compulsions and larger ecological requirements. Over the past few years, recycling as an activity has witnessed a shift from unorganized, localized efforts to a more organised process as part of the country’s corporate domain. A lot of products manufactured in India, including those for children, contain hazardous and chemically harmful materials, creating an urgent necessity for recycling. Such electronic waste recycling is also cutting down on operational costs to a large extent, making it necessary for sustained industrial development within the country.
