India is a significantly large consumer of gas on a worldwide basis. The country’s oil and gas sector is a significant contributor to the gross domestic product (GDP). As such, exploration and production of gas is critical to the economic health of the country. The higher demand for refined oil and gas products has made the process of exploration and production all the more imperative. India still has a significant amount of unexplored gas basins and recent discoveries have highlighted this fact.
