Although pet care is still at a nascent stage in India, it is witnessing a rapid rate of expansion, given the rise in disposable incomes among the country’s population. This has led to increased pet ownership as well as more spending on safety and comfort of pets. In recent years, pet care has moved beyond simple feeding and grooming expenses to include more customized, premium quality products. Despite the prevalent tough economic conditions, the pet care industry continues to flourish in India as more people living in nuclear families become aware of such services. Pet food and grooming services are two areas that have grown in leaps and bounds in the recent past.
