The spread of HIV/AIDS and STD is considered to be one of the worst forms of danger to public health all over the world. HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus is a particular type of virus that is responsible for causing the life-threatening disease AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). While initially limited to sex workers and habitual drug users, the disease has now spread at an alarming rate across the length and breadth of the country. This has prompted the government to launch a serious drive against the spread of this disease and to increase public awareness about it.
