India has a considerable number of large, medium and small pump making units and is slowly expanding its footprints in the worldwide market for pumps. Almost all of the overall pump units produced in the country are utilised by the domestic manufacturers. One of the largest end-user segments for pumps in India comprises the water and wastewater sectors. Domestically manufactured pumps are designed to endure extreme variations in weather, which is a common feature in our country.
